I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
